Bono Huis is one of the most decorated sim racing drivers in the world. Beginning his journey at age 11, he has gone on to achieve multiple world titles, landmark victories, and a professional career with leading teams such as McLaren and Mercedes. Today, he combines elite competition with coaching, helping the next generation of drivers reach their full potential.

Sim Racing Journey
Bono’s early dominance came in the Formula SimRacing World Championship, where he won five straight titles between 2010 and 2014. His international breakthrough arrived in 2017, when he won the Formula E Visa Vegas eRace against top sim racers and real-world Formula E drivers.
That same year, he was selected as a finalist in World’s Fastest Gamer, later joining McLaren Shadow for the F1 Esports Pro Series. In 2020, he signed with Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Esports, racing and then transitioning into an engineering role that contributed to the team’s success at the highest level.
Alongside his F1 Esports career, Bono captured titles in the Formula Pro Series, Le Mans Virtual Series and the V10R-League, confirming his versatility across platforms and disciplines.
Coaching & Mentorship
Since 2025, Bono has been an Esports Consultant for the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team’s Young Driver Programme, coaching upcoming motorsport talent on iRacing and Assetto Corsa.
